Congress background:

With the fast development of economic construction in China recently, with a variety of Infrastructure Engineering and resource exploitation engineering being hot, there are several new challenging problems growing in different fields, like hydropower development, mining, oil exploitation, The ground and underground transportation and railway construction. Many Soil-rock mechanical issues are raised in a series of important projects, ranging from South-North Water Transfer to west-east power transmission, from West-East natural gas transmission to west development. The congress will provide a very good opportunity for soil-rock research and Practical Summarizing of soil-rock engineering nationwide.

The congress will invite famous experts  on rock mechanics and engineering from home and abroad for keynotes.  Committees and co-organizers will organize corresponding reports and Launch Discussions on hot issues.
