   At the invitation of Prof. Faquan Wu, Prof. Carlos will visit Beijng, Xian and Lanzhou during January 4th- 14th, 2012.

   Prof. Carlos is the president of IAEG. He will make an academic report about soil improvement by grouting on January 4th in Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Welcome to the report!

   （1）Soil improvement by grouting: theoretical basis and practical examples

Abstract: Study the basic model of a soil differencing its behavior from a rock block, and justifying the hydraulic fracturing of the soil structure in order to achieve a major improvement in all its mechanical parameters. Displays the mathematical model of fissured rock and studies the most acurated method for reinstalling its monolithism increasing the value of its mechanical parameters. And take some practical examples for further discussion.
