The 11^th national members congress of China Geological society

was held in Beijing on November 1^st, 2011 

   The 11^th national members congress of China Geological society was held in Beijing on November 1^st, 2011. The congress was a leadership selection congress. The executive vice president Xianlai Meng did the work report of the 38^th council and introduced details about revising regulations of China Geological society and the finance situation. The congress mainly involved in the relative work during the 38^th council and then passed the report and found the 39^th council.

   During the congress, the evaluation results of the 13^th geology technology award for young scientist were announced. Several members in our professional committee were honorably granted of the award. They are listed as follows:

   Jiwen Zhang from China JK Institute of Engineering Investigation and Design

   Youlong Gao from Center for Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology, CGS

   Liangqin Wang from China University of Geosciences

   Yanhui Liu from China Geological Environmental Monitoring Institute

   Hengqiu Liu from Beijing Geotechnical Institute

   More than 26 advanced units and 40 advanced individuals during the 38^th council were announced in the congress. The Engineering Geology Commission was granted as the advanced unit and Yuhuan Song was granted as the advanced individual.
