IAEG held a luncheon during the ISCEG-Shanghai 2012, during which Carlos Delgado, chairman of IAEG, signed a board for two co-linked units and a newly established committee C34.

The luncheon was held in Shanghai Davis Hotel on September 20th. 16 people including Carlos Delgado, Faquan Wu- the Secretary General of IAEG, Victor Osipov- winner of IAEG－Hans Cloos and Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Giorgio Lollino -the President of IAEG Congress in 2014, Yupeng Yao -the director of National Natural Science Foundation of China Geological Sciences Department and some other people from two co-linked units and C34.

In the beginning of the luncheon, Prof. Carlos announced the decision on accepting the China JK Institute of Engineering Investigation and Design, Institute of Geomechanics as co-units and approving the establishment of the IAEG marine engineering Geological Commission (C34) which is affiliated to Ocean University of China. Yushou Zhang- Vice President of China JK Institute of Engineering Investigation and Design, Yongshuang Zhang- Director of the Institute of Geomechanics accepted the board Prof. Yonggang Jia accepted the board on behalf of C34. Attendees gave warm congratulations on the above units.
