The arrangements for IAEG2013 go well

It was approved by the excutive committee of IAEG that International Symposium & 9^th Asian Regional Conference of IEAG would be held in Beijing, China, in September, 2013. From then on, the arrangements for the conference go well.

The organizer of the conference, China National Group, International Association of Engineering Geology and the Environment（IAEG）- Engineering Geology Commission，China Geology Society，IAEG Committee 29，and Key Lab of Engineering Geo-mechanics, IGGCAS, is actively making arrangements for it. The request of the organizing committee to hold the conference have been rapidly approved by Chinese Academy of Science

Three committees are constructed, including Steering Committee represented by Chair Carlos Delgado(Spain)-IAEG Chair, Technical Committee represented by Prof. Sijing Wang- formal chair of IAEG, and Organizing Committee. Many international famous engineering geological scientists and recipients of IAEG-Hans Cloos award had accepted the invitation to join in the committees.

A lot of  famous units including many institutes，universities，enterprises，administrative authorities were recommended to be co-organizer of the conference. They are National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Geological Survey（CGS）, China Hydropower Engineering Consulting Group Corporation, Yunnan Association for promotion of West China Research and Development, China Railway First Survey and Design Institute Group Ltd, CIGIS(China) Ltd, JK Institute of Engineering Investigation and Design, Guangdong Hydropower Planning and Design institute, Institute of Geo-mechanics, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, Xi’an Center of Geological Survey, CGS, China Ordinance industry of Geotechnical Survey and Design, the Metallurgical Investigation and Design Institute of China Geotechnical Investigation, China University of Mining and Technology(Xuzhou), Chendu University of Technology, China University of Geosciences, Chang’an University, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, China Three Gorges University, Southwest Jiaotong University. At present, some of them have signed the agreement with the organizing committee of the conference. Exhibitions for enterprises, new techniques and equipments are provided, and the organizing Committee will help for promotion.

The conference has built own web, www.iaegasia2013.com. First announcement has been issued through IAEG web, and the conference web .Conference Venue, Beijing International Convention Center, has been reserved. The conference proceedings will be published by Springer.
